Our Process

A simple path to going solar

We start with your utility bill to build a customized proposal that accurately meets your energy needs — then handle everything from permits to activation.

1Savings Report

We review your utility bills and energy use, then create a preliminary solar and battery design. Your proposal compares project payments, estimated remaining utility costs and expected savings.

Your part: Share a recent bill and tell us about future changes, such as an EV or new air conditioning.

2Approval Process

We confirm that your home, equipment and chosen payment program qualify. If you choose financing or a lease, the provider reviews its application requirements. Any credit application requires your authorization.

Your part: Review your payment options and complete the applicable approval steps. Approval does not replace reviewing the final agreement.

3Documents & Site Survey

You review the project agreement and required documents. A site survey checks roof conditions, measurements, electrical equipment and any battery location. Findings may require changes to the design or scope.

Your part: Provide access for the survey and review any proposed changes before proceeding.

4CAD / Permit

The installer prepares technical drawings and submits the required permit and utility paperwork. Local authorities and the utility review the plans; revisions may be needed.

Your part: We keep you updated. Timing depends on your jurisdiction, utility and project scope.

5Installation

After the required approvals and scheduling, the crew installs the panels, electrical equipment and any selected batteries. Inspections follow. Completing installation does not automatically mean the system is ready for normal operation.

Your part: Keep the work areas accessible and coordinate any required electrical shutdown with the installation team.

6System Activation

After inspections and the required utility permission to operate, the installer completes activation and helps you review monitoring and battery settings. We explain what to expect on your utility bill.

Your part: Wait for the installer’s activation instructions, then check your monitoring app and ask us about any unexpected readings.

In states like Arizona and Texas, solar panels typically qualify for a property tax exemption — so you can add value to your home without adding to your tax bill.

The physical installation is often completed in a matter of days. The complete project takes longer because design, financing, site assessment, HOA review, permitting, utility approval, inspection and permission to operate all have separate timelines.
