Demand-based plans

SRP demand plans pair energy charges with a charge based on the home's highest on-peak demand interval during the billing cycle. Large loads running together—such as air conditioning, an oven, pool equipment, or EV charging—can create that peak.

Export-based plans

SRP export plans separately credit excess electricity sent to the grid. Because the export credit can be lower than the value of using solar directly, system design should avoid assuming every exported kilowatt-hour offsets a retail-priced kilowatt-hour.
